Get to know the photographer.

Hi, I’m Dayanna (otherwise known as Day). I’m a lifestyle and portrait photographer based in Indiana, capturing the kind of memories you’ll want to hold onto forever. At my core, I’m a mom, an artist, a storyteller, and someone who believes that the little moments end up meaning the most.

I’ve worked in healthcare since I was 17, so service and connection have always been second nature to me. These days, I “stab people” as a phlebotomist, “shoot people” with my camera, and spend as much time as possible making memories with my two daughters. My six-year-old and my three-year-old keep me busy, laughing, and grounded in all the best ways.

I photograph families, couples, seniors, and all the everyday magic in between. My style is timeless images, focused on natural tones, soft colors, and stills that feel as real as the moment itself. No stiff posing. No forced smiles. Just genuine connection and little details that tell your story the way it deserves to be told. I’m especially great with kids and love finding little ways to make them laugh, keep their attention, and help them shine in front of the camera.

I’ll be honest, I’m a retired extrovert, but photography always brings me back out of my shell. I know being in front of the camera can feel awkward, but my goal is to make it easy, relaxed, and fun. I’ll guide you through every step, keep things light, and probably say something ridiculous just to catch that real laugh. You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to show up exactly as you are, and I’ll take care of the rest.

More than anything, I believe in holding onto small, ordinary moments because they become extraordinary with time. Whether it’s messy hair and belly laughs or quiet glances and fleeting milestones, I want your photos to feel like you; honest, natural, and timeless.

If you’re looking for a photographer who’s detail-minded, down to earth, and deeply invested in telling your story beautifully, I’d be honored to work with you. I can’t wait to meet you.

Motherhood

Becoming a mom changed the way I see the world and the way I see through my lens. My daughters remind me daily how quickly time moves and how precious these little in-between moments really are. Motherhood taught me the value of preserving memories, and it’s one of the biggest reasons I do what I do.

Photography

I’ve always loved cameras and taking pictures. It’s something that has felt natural to me for as long as I can remember. Over the years, friends and family told me I had an eye for capturing emotion and detail. What started as a passion slowly became a calling, and now getting to freeze moments for other families feels like the greatest gift.
